Through his Twitter handle, Sifuna noted that President Uhuru Kenyatta failed to condemn brutal police force meted on the opposition supporters.

He stated that even though it was a good show to see the Head of State personally apologize, Uhuru should have extended the same gesture to opposition supporters who were shot dead and injured during NASA demonstrations.

"An obvious missed opportunity to build more bridges by failing to condemn police brutality and console victims and also ignoring the threat to rule of law posed by the disobedience of court orders," he noted.

In his address, President Uhuru stressed the need to reconcile as a country in order to achieve national unity.
