Timothy Bosire, the ODM national treasurer, has become the first key leader within the party to question the credibility of the party primaries that were held in April.
His criticism to the party’s internal mechanisms comes barely a day before party leader Raila Odinga, who has since endorsed ODM winners, visits Gusii region.
But on Sunday, Bosire, who doubles as Kitutu Masaba MP apologized over below average nominations across the country.
“I won’t feel ashamed to apologize over the nominations. I feel sorry for what happened,” he said on Sunday during a funeral service in Gesima.
He added: “there is no dignity in cheating and stealing elections. It is a clear sign that they have lost touch with people. In Kitutu Masaba for instance, nominations took place in seven out of 27 polling stations.”
He was apparently taking swipe on Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama for allegedly overseeing bungled nominations in the country.
ODM leader Raila Odinga has come under immense scrutiny over the manner in which the party held nominations in his Nyanza bedrock.
