ODM Executive Director Oduor Ongwen has denied claims that the party has preferred candidates who would be given certificates without going through the nominations for the up-coming General Election.
Ongwen's remarks come a day after Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero claimed that there was a plot to rig him during the party's primaries.
"Allegations that some aspirants have paid money to some individuals to influence their nominations for various seats are not only disturbing but also they are subverting our rules and regulations of nominations", he said.
Yesterday, Kidero wrote protest letter to the party to protest remarks by Suna East MP and the Party's Director of elections Junet Mohammed that ODM will not hand him a nomination certificate to defend his gubernatorial re-election bid.
Ongwen said that the party will take disciplinary action against the leaders who were making reckless remarks that will likely tear the party apart.
