Despite the current wrangles within Raila's ODM party, the truth of the matter is that ODM will outlive its current detractors and Raila will eventually become even more stronger.
Raila and ODM in general has done this before, they will now and shall in the future.
Ahead of the 2007 election when Moody Awori had got the vice president seat and cut links with LDP, he believed he would win the Funyula seat.
Dr Paul Otuoma, little known with no political know - how was identified by ODM to be the flag bearer of ODM for the Funyula parliamentary seat during the 2007 election.
Otuoma was a nobody in politics. He had no name recognition. He had no political networks but ODM chose him only to end up thrashing a sitting vice president, Moody Awori.
Moody Awori never recovered. The point to be made is that ODM outlives those who for little gains lose focus.
In 2002, Mudavadi followed money when he chose to serve as Moi's vice president seat. Raila rallied the whole country against Moi's leadership. Mudavadi eventually lost his Sabatia seat in the 2002 general election and later returned to parliament in 2007 on an Orange Democratic Party (ODM) ticket after being given a direct nomination by the party.
When he made the same mistake in 2013, the ODM/CORD wave swept him away to the sea.
The list of those who have died politically by ditching ODM is endless. This is therefore a clear indication that ODM will survive and remain more stronger.
