Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura has bashed claims that he has been disrespecting ODM by giving disrespectful comments about the party and its leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking during an interview on NTV's Sidebar, Mwaura said that he had in fact called Raila and thanked him for nominating him to the National Assembly to represent people with disability.
"I want to make it clear that I did not disrespect ODM and its leader Raila Odinga. I infact called Raila and thanked him for nominating me to the National Assembly. Reports claiming that I have been disrespectful to the party are unfounded," said Mwaura.
Mwaura further reiterated that he decided to ditch ODM for the Jubilee party because there was no way he would have won the Ruiru nominations with the Orange party.
"I ditched ODM for Jubilee because there is no way I would have won the Ruiru nominations while still in the Orange party. Ruiru is a Jubilee zone and I had to make the switch," added Mwaura.
