The Orange Democratic Movement has formally written to the Registrar of Political Parties seeking for the expulsion of rebel elected members.
The party's executive director Oduor Ong'wen in a letter to parties registrar Lucy Ndung'u asked the national and County Assembly Speakers to declare the seats of the affected members vacant.
"The meeting unanimously passed a resolution to have the members listed as expelled from the party," Ong'wen said in the Tuesday letter.
"I request you to delist them from the register of ODM members."
He said the decision was arrived at after receiving a report from the party's National Disciplinary Committee.
Among those expelled include Budalang'i MP Ababu Namwamba, Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya and eight others.
Marsabit Governor Ukur Yattani and Igembe Central MP Cyprian Kubai who earlier on faced the same fate have since been pardoned.
Five other members will appear before the disciplinary committee on Thursday for questioning.
They include Mpuru Aburi (Tigania East), Mustafa Idd (Kilifi South), Gideon Mung'aro (Kilifi North), Chachu Ganya (North Horr) and James Rege (Karachuonyo).
Most of the affected members had decamped to President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party.
