According to the youth, they have not been paid for services offered during a past event.

They claim not have been paid for the ID and voters mobilization exercise they participated in last year.

They have accused the County Government of Siaya for failing to pay them over Ksh 4.5 million that was meant to cater for the exercise.

Speaking during a meeting held at a Siaya Hotel, Secretary of the Young ODM Democrat’s League, Ben Nyamulo, said participants were to receive between Ksh 500 and Ksh 1,000 per day for a period of one month, payments that have not been made until date.

In a letter to Governor Cornel Rasanga, the youth have given the County Government a 48-hour ultimatum to address their pay issue failure to which they will demonstrate to the Governor’s office.
