Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, September 27th evening Party Deputy Leader Ali Hassan Joho announced that the party will pitch tent in the party's stronghold this coming weekend.

“This weekend, I will lead a team to Kisumu for a two-day visit where I will meet party delegates, MCAs and conduct a roadshows. This will culminate in a mega rally where we will be joined by party leader Raila,” said Joho.

It's not clear why the party opted to back off their initial plans to hold their rally in Eldoret, considered to be Deputy President William Ruto's political stronghold.

Joho was speaking at Raila Odinga's office in Capito Hill Nairobi, in the company of Senator Anyang' Nyong'o, Governor Jack Ranguma and Suna East MP Junet Mohamed.
