The ODM National Elections Board (NEB) has announced a repeat nomination exercise in Nyayo Highrise ward in Lang’ata Constituency, Nairobi County.
This follows a Court order directing the NEB to repeat the exercise after one of the aspirants moved to Court challenging the earlier results.
”The order was brought to the attention of the Board yesterday (Thursday) hence the decision,” said NEB chairperson Judith Pareno.
Party Members in the five polling stations in the ward are expected to take party in the exercise that will begin at 6am and close at 5pm, Saturday May, 20, 2017.
In a communication through ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale, Pareno said the Board expected high level of political maturity by all aspirants and that they would all uphold peace during the exercise.
She warned that anyone who will engage in any form of violence during the repeat exercise will automatically be disqualified.
