Kisumu County education Executive (CeC), Jennifer Kere, has challenged teachers to make sure they effectively cover syllabus.
Speaking on Wednesday at Tom –Mboya labour college in an event aimed at promoting education welfare, Kere said that teachers are supposed to ensure that pupils understand the concept.
Proper syllabus coverage will help to improve students performance.
"Teachers are not supposed to be in hurry to finish the syllabus. Their main agenda is supposed to be making sure that students understand the concept,” notes Kere.
She further urged headteachers to ensure that teachers offer quality services to the students.
Nominated MCA Farida Salim reiterated her remarks where she urged teachers to be mindful of the students.
