Edward Ouko, in a stern report, has questioned a 2.7 billion shillings expenditure by the office of the president in the last three years.

Ouko revealed that part of the money spent by the office of the president cannot be vouched for since it is immune to scrutiny.

The Auditor General decried the possibility that rogue individuals may have taken advantage of existing loopholes.

''Although the president has provided certificates to support the expenditure in accordance with regulations and has explained , the purpose and particulars of the expenditure cannot be made public  and unsatisfactory matters about the expenditure have not been resolved.'' Ouko said according to a story by the Standard.

 Concerns have also been raised about payments made to automotive companies for the supply of vehicles since they were not captured in the Integrated Financial Management and Information System (IFMIS) ledger.
