There was drama at Makwa Dispensary in Gatundu North after a county administration officer attacked a dispensary worker for allegedly demolishing a pigsty which was in the dispensary's compound.
The man who was thoroughly beaten by the officer had been instructed by the dispensary's board Chairman, Gabriel Kinoru, to bring down the structure that belonged to the administrator seeing that it was erected at the dispensary's compound illegally.
"The reason why the officer beat the dispensary worker is because I asked him to bring down the pigsty because the board approved its demolition. This is a health facility; we do not want pigs here," Kinoru told journalists after the fracas.
Following the incident, the area youth leader Kariuki Kanyingi has asked for an immediate dismissal of the officer and subsequent prosecution.
"As the area youths we are much pained that such an officer can attack and beat up someone who was just doing his job. We won't rest till he is sacked and taken to court", he said.
The dispensary was opened early in April after a long time closure and a care taker board elected.
