Busia governor Sospeter Ojaamong' has accused his opponent, Funyula MP Paul Otuoma, of being a Jubilee candidate.

Otuoma seeks to unseat the governor, through an ODM party ticket, as nominations go on today (Thursday) in the county.

In bid to change nomination votes, Ojaamong publicly told the press that Otuoma was being funded by ODM's rivals, president Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party.

''My opponent is a Jubilee candidate definitely. I can confirm this; with full proof of evidence. In fact he's not using ODM officials for his campaign. Look at any clip- he's using Jubilee people to campaign for himself. He's a Jubilee candidate,'' said Ojaamong'.

He added: ''From Budalangi to Teso, Jubilee people are campaigning for him. He's a Jubilee candidate. there's nothing we can hide. The fact remains he's Uhuru Kenyatta's candidate, he's UhuRuto's candidate.''

This follows leaflets and a publication that has a replica of the Daily Nation newspaper, spreading in the county, purportedly claiming Otuoma is a Jubilee candidate. The materials allegedly came from Ojaamong's camp.
