Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong has sent his condolence message to the family of the late Nyeri Governor Dr Wahome Gakuru who died on Tuesday morning in a tragic road accident at Kabati along Thika-Murang'a Road.

Below is Ojaamong's message.

"I am deeply saddened and heartbroken by the tragic death Dr. Wahome Gakuru. The cruel hand of death has robbed the Country of a leader who had the vision of his people at heart.

It is another sad moment for the people of Nyeri coming barely eight months after losing their first Governor H.E. Nderitu Gachagua. My condolences and prayers to the Deputy Governor of Nyeri Mutahi Kahiga, family and the people of Nyeri over the tragic loss."
