The Orange Democratic Movement Nakuru branch chairperson Peter Ole Osono has denied claims that the recent revelations that the Okoa Kenya drive flop might divide Cord arguing that plans were underway to ensure the drive achieves its desired purpose.
Addressing journalists in Nakuru town on Monday, Ole Osono noted that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission was being used to frustrate the drive but expressed confidence in overseeing success of the initiative.
He noted that all Cord principals were strategising on how to give the whole process a new approach arguing that they were not going to rest until the initiative achieves its initial purpose.
"Cord is stronger than never before and those imagining that Okoa Kenya will divide us are day dreaming. They will be shocked because we are formulating another more organised way of ensuring we achieve the set target," he said.
Ole Osono thanked Nakuru residents who turned up and availed their signatures when the booklet was in the county saying Nakuru was among areas that provided more than 60 per cent of the desired signatures.
Last week, IEBC failed to approve some signatures on allegations that they were not genuine signatures making the Okoa Kenya drive fail to provide the desired one million signatures.
