Mong’are, a Ford Kenya member, had blasted Cord leadership for what he termed as ‘reckless’ demonstrations against the electoral body.

But in his official whatsap group on Monday, the Senator faced difficult moments to convince a number of his followers who took him to unprecedented offensive.

“You’re a disgrace to Cord coalition. Time has come for you to honourably exit and seek mandate on another party because all along you’ve been attacking Cord. There is no justification at all in defending a biased electoral body,” said Shephanard Mosomi.

“If you’re satisfied with IEBC which even threatens to block an opposition coalition from participating election, then I doubt your legal credentials. Time has come for you’re to learn to have a stand. It’s either you’re with us or with them,” said another follower Beavon Magare.

They also accused the Senator of allegedly donating inkless pens and expired drugs which had been banned by the county leadership of Nyamira.

“If you support IEBC, then this shows clearly the allegations of inkless pens and expired drugs were true. You like handling fake things. It’s either you join people fighting to rescue the country or join those antagonizing us,” added Magare.

Okong’o on his part dismissed the users terming them ‘myopic’ and challenged Cord to follow the law when protesting against IEBC.

“I am really disappointed with your myopic approach on this issue. Cord knows the legal framework that should be explored to remove commissioners from office,” he said.
