Kibra MP elect Ken Okoth has blasted the Jubilee leadership over what he calls 'tribal appointments' to key government elections.
Speaking in an interview on Monday with NTV the ODM legislator said the Jubilee leadership was reaching out to cronies and political losers at the expense of reaching out to ordinary qualified Kenyans from minority communities or any other community that did not support it during the August 8 polls.
" Jubilee must learn to embrace everyone. They can't be thinking about their own 'trIbally-correct' individuals to key government positions. When are we going to see individuals from minority groups represented in this party," he queried.
Okoth took issues with the names Jubilee is considering for parliamentary leadership especially in Senate seat where it is alleged they intend to replace former speaker Ekwee Ethuro with either Nakuru county senator elect Susan Kihika or her Muranga counterpart Irungu Kangata or Kiambu senator elect Kimani wa Matangi who are considered as front runners for the seat.
