According to Okoth, Kibera ladies who have a passion in technology had no reason turn down the offer. He said this was a good platform for them to exercise their skills and gain more experience in different fields.

Okoth has been known to advocate for children education and has called on many children in the slums to embrace education.

The MP has also ordered youths who have completed their tertiary level education to drop their CVs at his office. The youths will be linked to companies which could be looking for interns or employees. This has helped many youths secure jobs and attachments all over the city.

Okoth says it is through education that the life of people in the slums will change.
