The Kibera MP, Ken Okoth has been voted as the next best person to succeed Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader, Raila Odinga.
This took place in the first social media campaign.
Okoth, who was fighting with two others, John Mbadi and Ababu Namwamba at the poll which was being monitored and had been posted by Ahmed Mohamed, became a trending subject since Sunday through the said time of conclusion on Monday afternoon.
Thousands of Kibera youths who could access Twitter took the motion to a higher level as they jointly supported their MP. Their overwhelming support, however, might soon be proved opposite in the coming second edition of the polls.
In the just concluded poll, Okoth emerged top followed by Namwamba then Mbadi. Kibera youths, trough their Whatsapp group, vowed to support the MP to the last minute.
By Sunday evening, Mbadi and Okoth were tying at 44 votes each. Namwamba, on the other hand, was at the top position with 46 votes. This led to a re-run that was conducted on Monday.
