Harambee Stars First Coach Stanley Okumbi has expressed confidence that the upcoming match against Angola will give his team a sterner test than their last friendly against Malawi.
Okumbi is seeking to extend his unbeaten run to 13 games.
Okumbi unveiled a squad of 26 local-based players on Thursday with his team set to report to camp in Machakos on Monday.
“The real ability of the players didn’t come to the fore because most were fatigued after playing for their teams but we have more days to prepare and it gives us a reason to focus on the game.
“We’ve brought in a few new faces for a bigger punch. They have been doing well for their clubs and it is only fair we reward their efforts,” the coach stressed.
“We still have so many international matches ahead and those left out will be monitored for future consideration,” Okumbi added.
