Harambee Stars head coach Stanley Okumbi  has expressed his disappintment after  his team’s 1-1 draw with Uganda Cranes in a friendly match at the Machakos Stadium.

Michael Olunga netted the first goal of the match on the 35th minute, a goal that stood to the 87th minute, when Ugandan Substitute Moses Waiswa equalized for the visitors.

The draw extended Okumbi’s unbeaten run to nine matches.

Okumbi said he was pleased with the output of the team, but promised to keep working on the lapse in defense that cost the team a victory .

“We played quite well but made a mistake towards the end that cost us a victory… but we have another match on Sunday and we should work on the mistakes we saw,” said Okumbi.

The Stars will on Sunday March 26 take on the Congolese national team in another friendly match at the same venue.
