Kisumu West Member of Parliament John Olago has urged Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula to shelve their presidential ambitions in favour of Cord leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking at Ojola in his constituency on Wednesday, Mr Olago said that Odinga should run for presidency because he is ‘famous’ and much popular than Wetangula and Musyoka.
“When we have got three brothers in a home and there’s an elder brother who is much stronger, that is the brother you support,” said the legislator.
He said that if Odinga, Musyoka and Wetangula were put on a weighing scale, the former Lang’ata law maker was the heaviest.
Over the weekend, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula raised a storm when he said that Raila Odinga had to support either him or Musyoka as the Cord presidential flag bearer.
His sentiments were met by strong criticism from leaders aligned to the ODM party leader.
