A Nakuru court has sentenced a 63-year-old man to life imprisonment after he was found guilty of defilement.

Nakuru Principal Magistrate Joe Omido on Wednesday sentenced Geoffrey Mwangi to a life imprisonment after ‘the prosecution proved the case against reasonable doubt’

Mwangi was accused of duping a 11-year-old minor to his house where he committed the heinous act on August 12 2015.

The court was told the man did the act and then gave the girl Sh20 to silence her.

A neighbour who saw her walking in difficult noted something was amiss and notified the parents leading to the arrest of Mwangi who was their neighbor.
