Residents together with community stakeholders from Old Town, Majengo and Ganjoni wards in Mvita Sub-county streamed various venues to take part in the election of Health Facility Management Committees (HFMC) within the Sub-county on Wednesday. 

The exercise for Kaderbhoy medical clinic committee took place at Swahili Cultural Centre, Majengo Dispensary at Majengo Village Hall and Ganjoni Clinic at the hospital's conference hall. 

Officers from the County department of health and Sub-county administration who conducted the exercise urged residents to elect leaders who will improve services at the health facilities around their community, have good relations with the facility health workers as well as represent their needs. 

Besides the community, the elected committee members also comprised Persons With Disability, women and youth representative and Community based organisations.

The two ex-officio members of the committee are the facility sister in charge, ward administrator and the chief.Below is a list of members who were elected to the committees.

1. Kaderboy medical Clinic - Mohamed Ahmed, Hassan Said, Mohamed Hassan, Maryam Azizdin, Shekha Hafidh and Thabit Mukhatar.

2. Majengo Dispensary - Swaleh Abdallah, Zeinab Mohamed, Hassan Kombo, Aisha Ahmed, Fatma Said and Henry Oduor.

3. Ganjoni Clinic - Kennedy Okoth, Abdulaziz Shatry, Farida Rashid, Barke Mohamed, Steve Elvis, Khadija Hassan.
