Narok senator Ledama Ole Kina has condemned the ruling Jubilee government over allegations that it attempted to assassinate NASA leader Raila Odinga after his arrival in the nation from his US tour Friday.
In a statement on his Twitter account, Ole Kina termed the act as evil, sad and unnecessary.
''Its so sad that the Jubilee government attempted to assassinate Raila Odinga but God protected him. Mashetani wameshindwa(The devil has been defeated),'' reads the statement in part.
NASA has accused the police of firing at Raila's car as he was being driven from the JKIA airport.
According to pictures posted on the alliance's twitter handle and that of his son Raila Odinga Junior Friday, the bullet which hit the windscreen, was repulsed as the car is bulletproof.
The senator who was among the group of leaders that went to receive the leader at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport further took issue with the government's move to bar opposition supporters from achieving the same.
He accused the government of sabotaging the opposition telling off President Uhuru Kenyatta against privatizing state facilities.
''Uhuru Kenyatta should know that JKIA being named after his father does not belong to his family,'' he says.
