The Wiper Democratic Movement - Kenya has received several defectors, as the race for August 8, elections nears.
Led by party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Wiper received 35 Member of County Assembly (MCA) aspirants, four MP aspirants and one senatorial aspirant, from Meru County.
The running mate of former 2013 presidential aspirant Prof James Ole Kiyiapi, Winnie Kaburu also joined Wiper, Friday.
She seeks to unseat Meru governor Peter Munya, who now chairs PNU.
They pledged their support for the Opposition, saying Kalonzo could make best Kenya's president.
This comes after several high profile Ukambani politicians pledged their support for the National Super Alliance (Nasa), through the former vice president's Wiper.
They include: Makueni governor Prof Kivutha Kibwana, Narc party leader Charity Ngilu, Chama Cha Uzalendo's Wavinya Ndeti and former Cabinet Minister Mutua Katuku.
