Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Ole Lenku has been appointed as the Chairperson of Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority.
The appointment was made on Friday by Industrialization CS Adan Mohammed.
Lenku, who served as Interior CS from 2013 to 2014, was fired following public outcry over increased insecurity, including a terror attack on a bus and quarry, which claimed the lives of 64 people.
The former Utalii Hotel manager was replaced by the current Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery.
