Kajiado Governor David Ndekianye has insisted that former Interior CS Joseph Ole Lenku is unfit for the county's governorship seat.
Ole Lenku was on Wednesday declared the winner of the Jubilee Party ticket for the Kajiado gubernatorial seat after trouncing his arch-rival Tarayia ole Kores during the party primaries.
Ole Lenku garnered 18,456 votes against Tarayia's 6,705 votes.
But speaking on Friday, Ndekianye dismissed Ole Lenku's win, saying he is incompetent to bold any public office.
"God forbid if this one (Ole Lenku) is elected. He will bring down this county in many ways. It is my prayer that the people of Kajiado see the light by rejecting him," the governor said.
"If (Lenku) failed to handle the docket in the Interior ministry, how do you expect him to manage the entire country and its huge budget? He is just a joker," he added.
Ndekianye will be seeking re-election on an ODM Party ticket.
