The battle for minority leadership in Nakuru county assembly finally came to an end on Tuesday afternoon after ODM settled on Ol-karia  Ward MCA Peter Palanga as the Leader of Minority and Kivumbini Ward MCA Wilbur Onyango as deputy leader of minority.

ODM nominated MCA Alice Kering is the minority party whip while nominated MCA Leah Sang is deputy minority whip while two other posts shall be filed by the county assembly service board.

Speaking moments after assuming office, Palanga said he will work to ensure the minority in Nakuru County are well represented.

The assembly on Tuesday also elected Nessuit MCA Samwel Tonui as the deputy Speaker.
