Kenya's Michael Olunga did not get playtime as his side Girona surrendered their lead to fall 2-1 to Valencia in Saturday La Liga encounter staged at the Mestalla Stadium. 

Olunga's teammate Christian Potu opened the scoring eight minutes into the match after heading the ball beyond goalkeeper Neto from Johan Mojica's cross.

Los Che however drew level before the half-hour mark after Goncalo Guede's effort came off a Girona defender Golcas Ramalho into the net.

Early in the second half, the hosts were given the opportunity to the lead from the spot after Jose Luis Gaya was felled in the box.

Daniel Parejo took up the role and fired home past the Girona custodian.
