Gor mahia coach Dylan Kerr has made a sensational claim that Kenyan International striker Michael Olunga could play in England for the coming campaign.

Olunga spent last season at La Liga club Girona and scored the club's first hat-trick in the Spanish top-flight when he beat Las Palmas keeper on three different occassions.

He has since been released by Girona after the expiry of his loan after the Spanish club opted against making the deal permanent.

“I tried to sign Olunga two times but he went overseas. Though Olunga has made it in European football, he is now leaving Girona. His advisors have called me asking if he can go to England,” Gor coach Kerr said in an interview.

“I am not playing any role in his move, it is just his advisors who want him to play there.  But since I  have a few contacts in England, I am in touch with a few clubs there. But, I cannot reveal a lot now.” Kerr added.

Olunga cannot play for his parent Chinese club Guizhou Zhincheng due to the strict transfer quota in the Chinese Super League that allows only 5 foreign players in the team as well as a 50% taxation on the purchase of foreign players.

Should the move to England be a reality, he will feature in the same league as Kenya captain and Tottenham hotspur defensive midfielder Victor Wanyama.
