A furious Millicent Omanga on Friday spoke about Jubilee nominations, weeks after losing in Nairobi Women Representative race to incumbent Rachael Shebesh.

Omanga garnered close to 60,000 votes in comparison to Shebesh’s 90,000 in a tight contest even though she contested the results.

And in a local station interview, the firebrand politician commonly known as ‘Msupa na Works’ accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of failing to offer leadership when it mattered.

“I love my president but he sat and watched some of us being mistreated in Jubilee headquarters,” she said in reference to the decision by Jubilee staff to lock her out of Pangani offices.

“We had serious cases which were mishandled. The president only settled cases that touched his personal friends and I am really hurt by that,” she added.

After the nominations, Uhuru helped settle a fiasco between veteran politician Maina Kamanda and musician Charles Kanyi along with Kamukunji primaries in which Yussuf Haji was handed Jubilee certificate after appealing against Simon Mbugua’s victory.

But despite the disgruntles, Omanga, who is keen to lead the metropolitan, was non-committal of her next move after the Jubilee party disappointments.
