[Photo/the star.co.ke]Former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar has asked dissatisfied NASA Coast politicians to ditch the Raila Odinga led alliance.Omar argues that there is no democracy in the Raila Odinga led outfit noting that it is the major reason that made him quit.Speaking to journalists in Mombasa Town on Friday, Omar said that NASA is only using the Coast region to fulfill and achieve its selfish interests. The former Wiper secretary-general said that NASA has no agenda for the region that has been supporting it for years."There is no democracy in NASA and I urge Coast politicians still clinging to Raila Odinga to wake up and realize that they are being used and treated as flower girls," he said.Omar claimed that NASA top leaders are hypocrites who preach democracy and in real sense, they don't practice or subscribe to it.He warned that Coast will continue to lag behind if some of its leaders depend on selfish opposition leaders.Omar urged NASA Coast politicians to support president Uhuru Kenyatta's government saying that it is the only administration that will end challenges facing the region.A section of Coast politicians allied to NASA have cried foul saying that the alliance has discriminated and sidelined them on matters of leadership.Led by Likoni MP Mishi Mboko, the politicians are complaining that they have been left out on the list of opposition parliamentary leadership that was forwarded to the speaker Justin Muturi on Wednesday. The lawmakers claim that they have been sidelined yet they have been on the forefront fighting for the opposition. They now want NASA top leaders to intervene on the list and assure them of equality and fairness.
