Wiper party Secretary General and Mombasa senator Hassan Omar has warned other politicians against incriminating Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka for failing to endorse their preferred NASA candidate.
Addressing party aspirants at Bomas of Kenya, Omar defended Musyoka’s bid and urged NASA affiliate principals to stop calling Kalonzo a traitor for not supporting them. He told them to remember when he (Kalonzo) supported them. The sentiments were aimed at Raila Odinga and his supporters.
Senator Omar said, "He cannot only be an ally when he is supporting you but he is called a traitor when he wants to be president.”
Mr. Musyoka also attended the event that was aimed at streamlining nomination process and pointed out his age as another indicator for him not to hesitate in his battle to lead Kenya. He assured the aspirants that he will fight till the end because even Raila Odinga had given everyone an assurance of equal opportunity to be the opposition choice and eventually the president.
"My brother Raila made it very clear that anyone can be president. Now at my age of 63 years, why would I delay that decision any further?" And if it's clear that if you endorse Kalonzo Jubilee will go home, why delay?" Kalonzo asked.
