Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar has termed the delay in naming the National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate as strategic.Speaking on Wednesday during the launch of his gubernatorial manifesto in Mombasa, Omar said the alliance is finalising its work with regards to unveiling its flag bearer. The Wiper secretary general at the same time asked his counterparts from the NASA affiliate parties against engaging in sideshows which he noted could cause panic and discord within the coalition, kbctv.co.ke has reported. He further appealed to Mombasa residents to come out in large numbers and vote for the NASA torch bearer in the forthcoming August 8, general election once he is unveiled. In his manifesto, the Senator has promised Mombasa residents that if they elect him as the county boss, he will among other things reduce land rates and also address the taxation system. The former KNCHR vice chairman is seeking to unseat Governor Hassan Joho in the August polls.
