Former Mombasa Senator Omar Hassan has said that Wiper Party boss Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka rigged out former Senator David Musila during nominations.

Omar said that Musila, who lost to Former Lands Minister Charity Ngilu, deserved Wiper ticket. The politician was floored during Wiper nominations by the former governor Dr Julius Malombe.

Omar states that his efforts to ensure Musila is given the ticket to contest for the governorship did not bear fruits. He also said that he had confidence the lawmaker (Musila) was the best bet for the post before he was rigged out under unclear circumstances.

“I think he (Kalonzo) is a politician and he took his gamble. It did not pay off and Wiper is as a result fairly decimated. I believe Musila would have been a stronger candidate than Malombe. I worked hard to ensure that the results of Musila’s victory were restored by the national elections board, but I was thwarted,” stated Hassan, as quoted by Tuko.co.ke.

Musila has since joined President Uhuru Kenyatta’s side after losing the governorship race in the August General elections. The politician and other leaders from Ukambani have promised to deliver the Kamba vote to Jubilee.
