Nyali Member of Parliament Hezron Awiti has revealed the reason behind his exit from Wiper party. The legislature complained that the party Secretary General and Mombasa gubernatorial aspirant Hassan Omar frustrated his bid. He joined Vibrant Democratic Party to push through his dream of being the second Mombasa governor. Awiti also said the party leader Kalonzo Musyoka favored Omar something that went against the free and fair nominations requirement."While in Wiper, I announced my intention to vie for governor only for another person to follow my trail just to frustrate the move," said Awiti.According to the legislature, the party talks to come up with a single candidate to dethrone ODM’s Hassan Joho were mere games. He noted that the Wiper ticket belongs to Omar and the rest was a pure waste of time."Many talks were held with a view to finding a candidate. But it seems Wiper is not serious and was only keen on a cats and dogs game. Later, reports emerged that some people from the party had endorsed the other guy (Omar)," Awiti said.He will battle it out with Jubilee’s Suleiman Shahbal, sitting governor Joho and his former party secretary general Omar Hassan.
