In reference to the former TNA Secretary General Onyango Oloo who recently decamped to ODM, the senator wondered whether he (Onyango Oloo) had subscribed to any TNA ideology or if it was just a matter of convenience.

Speaking during an interview on a local TV station, Omar challenged politicians to desist from the culture of hoping from one party to another, saying that such actions can be interpreted to mean that they do not believe in anything in the first place.

Omar said party hopping is not a good practice, saying it will undermine good governance in the country.

The Wiper Party Secretary General said he is happy to be at the helm of the Kalonzo-led party, adding that he will never move out of it as he has been given enough space to execute his mandate.

The Mombasa County gubernatorial hopeful is not the first person to question Oloo's move to defect from the Jubilee Party, which he helped form.

Leader of majority in the National Assembly Aden Duale termed Oloo a 'turn-coat' who cannot be entrusted with leadership.

He downplayed his exit as inconsequential, despite emerging murmurs of discontentment in the party that could handicap their quest to keep opposition at bay in the August poll.
