Former Wiper Secretary General Hassan Omar has said NASA leader Raila Odinga and his runningmate Kalonzo Musyoka are tribal chiefs who cannot be satisfied with political loyalty.
Hassan said that he spent his time and energies trying to do what they wanted but they could not be satisfied by his efforts in the opposition coalition.
He said that they instead hatched a plan to collectively drop him for Mombasa governor Hassan Joho.
"I spent too much time trying to please ethnic chiefs but now I have the courage to stand alone," Omar said on Monday.
The former Mombasa senator said that in the repeat polls, he was going to vote President Uhuru Kenyatta and not Raila since the latter betrayed him.
"I will not give him my vote because he (Raila) never supported me (in the governorship race) and neither did Kalonzo," Omar said.
