Former Mombasa Senator Hassan Oman has said he will campaign for President Uhuru Kenyatta should he (Uhuru) approach him. Omar said he will gladly join Uhuru’s campaign team if the President asks him to do so, Kenyans.co.ke has reported."If the President asks me to campaign for him directly then I would, he is a good political ally,” said Omar, as quoted by the daily. He, however, denied claims that he had joined Jubilee after photos of him with Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and Aden Duale at the funeral of the late Public Works PS Mariam El Mawwy emerged. Omar said the Nairobi Governor did not woo him to join Jubilee, adding that they only had a conversation as they enjoy a good working relationship. This comes after Omar resigned from Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper Party on September 7 citing deep rooted issues. He further said he will not campaign for NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
