Wiper secretary general Hassan Omar has congratulated the Nasa principals for choosing ODM party leader Raila Odinga as the flag bearer.
Omar said Raila is the only 'silver bullet' who will oust Jubilee’s president Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 8 polls.
“You guys have heard of the silver bullet. Contrary to perceptions, this is not a question of somebody’s last bullet per se. It is about a silver bullet that will deliver victory for the people of Kenya,” Omar said, Sunday.
The Mombasa senator said despite of their wishes to have Kalonzo named flag bearer, they still support Raila’s candidature.
He called on Wiper’s Francis Nyenze to stop criticising the line-up and support the principals’ decision in order for Nasa to obtain victory.
Nyenze had criticised the line-up saying it was a raw deal for the Kamba community.
“In my opinion, the fact that it was not Kalonzo only behooves us to put truth to our public assertions that we will support whoever is made the flag bearer,” Omar noted.
