Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar has said that Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) principal Raila Odinga is what Kenya needs to solve its governance crisis.
Omar accused past regimes of poor leadership, adding that Jubilee has failed terribly in delivering what Kenyans want.
The Mombasa senator said Raila will offer a firm and ideological presidency.
Speaking during an interview on KTN, Omar said Raila will not ape Uhuru's style of leadership.
“Raila's presidency will be firm in dealing with corruption, unemployment, distribution of national resources, fighting tribalism, empowering youths and women, caring for the elderly and those living with disability, fostering international unity, reducing insecurity as well as providing a suitable environment for democratic maturity,” said Omar.
He said Raila's ideology will not allow him to play blame games when handling national issues, adding that he will not cry for help in delivering his promise to Kenya, but will instead work towards it.
“Raila is the person who will correct mistakes made by Jomo Kenyatta, Daniel Moi, Mwai Kibaki and those being perpetrated by Uhuru Kenyatta,” he said.
