Former Wiper Party Secretary-General Hassan Omar has termed Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze's death as a big blow to the Kamba community.While eulogising Nyenze, Omar said the late MP had big plans of spearheading unity among Kamba leaders.Speaking to journalists in Mombasa, the former Mombasa Senator said Nyenze was bothered by the region's political division and had vowed to bring the warring politicians and residents together.Omar described the late Nyenze as a down to earth politician who had great respect for humanity.He said Nyenze, who served as opposition minority leader in the last parliament, was a timekeeper and took party matters seriously."The late Nyenze was passionate about his community and had vowed to bring together and forge unity among the community leaders and locals," said Omar.Omar also said that the late MP was fearless and could not be intimidated by anyone."He was loved by many for his tough stand on issues and his fearless approach to delicate matters that many feared to talk about," he said.Nyenze will be remembered for his fight to have Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka fly the NASA presidential ticket in the run-up to the August 8 presidential election.The late Wiper MP had threatened that Wiper would pull out of NASA if Kalonzo will not be picked as the flag bearer.Nyenze died on Wednesday morning at the Nairobi Hospital after a long battle with colon cancer.Various leaders across the divide have eulogised the late MP as a dedicated politician who had the interests of his people at heart.
