Former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar has refuted claims that he intends to join President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee party after resigning as Wiper secretary general.In an interview with the Standard, Omar said he has no links with Jubilee, adding that the reports being peddled on social media are false.Omar also denied claims that he will be campaigning for President Uhuru Kenyatta in the Coast region ahead of the repeat presidential election.He said his keen interest is to fight the electoral injustices which were committed in the recently concluded general election.“I want to ask Kenyans and my supporters to ignore false claims linking me to Jubilee party,” said Omar, as quoted by the Standard.Omar who unsuccessfully contested for the Mombasa governor seat in the August 8 polls said he will remain vocal on issues that affect the common Kenyans.Omar on Thursday resigned as Wiper secretary general citing deep rooted reasons.
