The nomination of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s son Kennedy Kalonzo to the East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) is continuing to elicit mixed reactions.
The Wiper Party has maintained that the list which was submitted to parliament last week will not be changed.Speaking during the party’s National Executive Committee meeting on Wednesday, Wiper Secretary General who is also Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar warned Jubilee against dictating to them the number of candidates the party should nominated for approval.Omar vowed not to replace Kennedy Kalonzo whose inclusion in the list of nominees from the opposition parties has raised eyebrows. This comes after National Assembly leader Aden Duale insisted that Kalonzo's son should not be included in the list."Our understanding of the law is that our list is final. We hold the position that no more names will be provided apart from the ones already submitted," Omar said.
