Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar during a past media briefing. Photo/ mediamaxnetwork.co.keThe recent statement by ODM Secretary General Agnes Zani that NASA coalition has settled on ODM leader Raila Odinga to be the presidential flag bearer during the August poll is continuing to gather storm within the political formation with Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar being the latest to wade into the matter.Speaking in Mombasa when he launched his manifesto for the Mombasa governor bid on Wednesday, Omar who is also the Wiper Party Secretary General dismissed Zani's claim that Raila is the coalition's flag bearer with Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka as his running mate.According to Omar, the process to identify who will fly the coalition flag come August is ongoing and that only the four NASA principals will issue a statement on the flag bearer once the process is concluded.Cautioning the coalition supporters against propaganda circulating about NASA affairs, Omar said politicians within the outfit have freedom to express their views which do not necessarily represent the position of the principals.Earlier, in Nairobi, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka demanded an apology from the coalition partner ODM for allegedly spreading false information that Raila is the coalition's candidate to face off with President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 8 polls.
