Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar has claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta has descended into panic ahead of the August 8 general election.

Omar further claimed that Uhuru is afraid of the opposition’s National Super Alliance (NASA).

Speaking to journalists in Nairobi on Thursday, the Wiper Party secretary general said Uhuru’s government knows that it will lose against the opposition in the August polls.

“Uhuru and his government are in panic mode because they know that the opposition is ready to form the next government,” he said.

Omar stated that the opposition is not taking chances and will put in place every mechanism to clinch power come August.

The Mombasa senator said time has come for Uhuru to start packing as he prepares to exit State House.

He said Kenyan are seeking leadership change adding that opposition has the solutions to issues facing the country.

Meanwhile, Omar wants the opposition to unveil its presidential candidate before the end of March.

He said Kenyans are anxious to see the candidate the opposition will front to battle President Kenyatta.
