Former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar has criticised NASA's weekly anti-IEBC protests, terming them a waste of time.
Omar says that NASA has no right to push for the removal of IEBC Chief Executive Offiver (CEO) Ezra Chiloba and others.
The former senator claims that NASA is crucifying Chiloba and others for the crimes they never committed.
Speaking in Mombasa on Sunday, the former Wiper Party secretary general asked Chiloba and other top IEBC officials to remain firm and ignore NASA's calls for their resignation.
The former senator defended Chiloba's performance in the August 8 general election saying that the supreme court verdict that nullified the presidential poll did not incriminate him in its ruling.
"NASA leaders must keep off IEBC and allow the commsion prepare for repeat presidential election as ordered by the supreme court," he said.
The former senator who has since joined president Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee party also laughed off NASA's threat to boycott the repeat presidential poll.
Omar said that NASA has no option but to participate in the repeat poll.
He said that the opposition is afraid of losing to Uhuru Kenyatta and wants to have the repeat poll postponed.
The former Wiper secretary general said that he does not regret dumping the opposition indicating that he will campaign for Uhuru's re-election in Coast region ahead of the repeat presidential election.
