Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar has warned Raila Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party against making premature statements in regards to the National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer.Omar said ODM's statement that NASA has agreed on its flag bearer is causing jitters and anxiety in the Alliance.According to the Mombasa Senator, such statements will negatively affect NASA and gift President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party an easy win in the August 8 polls.Omar said NASA risks crumbling due to premature speculations on its flag bearer.“ODM politicians should stop speculations on NASA flag bearer and allow the committee and the principals to choose who will fly the Alliance presidential ticket,” said Omar as quoted by People Daily. The Mombasa gubernatorial aspirant said NASA has not yet agreed on a flag bearer adding that speculations of Raila and Kalonzo being endorsed are meant to cause rifts in the Alliance.Last week, ODM secretary general Agnes Zani claimed the NASA technical committee had endorsed Raila as flag bearer, Kalonzo as his deputy and Musalia Mudavadi as the Chief Prime Minister. The claims angered NASA co-principals Kalonzo and Mudavadi who now want ODM to retract the statement.
