Wiper Party Secretary General Hassan Omar has insisted that the party will not hold joint National Super Alliance (NASA) nominations.
Omar said the rumours are being spread by politicians who fear NASA might lose to President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto during the next general polls.
The Mombasa Senator said leaders claiming that Wiper intends to hold joint nominations have already failed, adding that they want to hide under NASA in a bid to earn sympathy as they seek different electives posts in August.
Omar pointed out that most governors fear losing to senators and other aspirants during the nominations.
“Governors feel the burden because of a mistake they have made which created a vacuum for Jubilee to field candidates. Don’t call NASA to fix your problems,” said Omar, as quoted by The Star.
He reiterated that Wiper has not entered any agreement with other parties to hold joint nominations.
“Wiper has not ratified any decision to joint nomination,” he said.
